CONDITIONS

1. Promoter:

The promoters are AlburyCity, ABN 92 965 474 349, 553 Kiewa Street, Albury NSW 2640 (“ACC”) and AlburyCBD (CBD) and Albury Business Connect, ABN 22 059 035 915, 8/512 Swift Street, Albury NSW 2640 (“ABC”).

2. Duration:

The competition commences at 8:00am Monday 4 May 2026 and closes at 11:59pm Monday 29 May 2026 (“the competition period”).

3. Method of Entry:

For Businesses:

Businesses register via form on Shop-a-Local website https://shopalocal.com.au.

Registered businesses will receive a starter pack that includes a window sticker and tent card with a QR Code linking to the entry form on the Shop-a-Local website.

Businesses can display this sticker in their window during the competition period.

For Shoppers:

Scan the QR code on the collateral displayed at participating businesses to enter.

Only entries submitted via the form on the Shop-a-Local website (https://shopalocalalbury.com.au) will be counted.

4. Eligibility to Enter for Businesses:

To participate, businesses must fall within The AlburyCity LGA and register their business on the Shop-a-Local website (https://shopalocalalbury.com.au). A “Participating Business” is a business within the AlburyCity LGA that has successfully registered for the Shop Local Competition and has displayed the provided promotional materials during the competition period.

5. Draw Details:

A total of 10 prizes will be announced across the campaign period.

Businesses:

The winning businesses will be determined by an electronic randomised draw at 12 pm on Thursday 2 July 2026. Businesses will be eligible for the draw if they have registered themselves and a shopper has submitted an entry from shopping at their store.

Winning businesses will be notified in person with a photo taken and shared on the AlburyCBD or ABC Facebook and Instagram pages.

Shoppers:

A weekly prize winner will be selected via a random electronic draw at 9 am on the following Monday. The winner will be selected from the entries received throughout that week. For the purposes of the weekly prize draw, a week is defined as Tuesday 12:00am until the following Monday 11:59pm.

The Jackpot prize will be determined via a random electronic draw at 12 pm on Thursday 2 July 2026. The Jackpot winner will be selected from all entries submitted during the campaign period.

6. Winner Notification:

The winning business will be notified on Friday 3 July 2025 and published on the AlburyCBD or ABC Instagram and Facebook pages. Weekly winners will be contacted via the contact details provided on their entry form.

7. Prize Details:

Business Prize: Priceline Pharmacy Albury $2,000 CASH

Jackpot Prize: $5,000 CASH

Weekly Prize: $250 x 8 via Hume Bank account CASH (via a Hume Bank, bank account)

8. Award of Prizes:

Business Prize:

The Business Prize will be transferred within 14 days of Friday 3 July 2026.

For Shoppers:

Weekly Prizes will need to be collected by the winner from a Hume Bank branch between 9 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday with proof of identity. If the winner is under 18, a parent or guardian will need to consent.

Jackpot Prize will be transferred within 14 days of t 12 pm on Friday 3 July 2026. If the winner is under 18, a parent or guardian will need to consent.

Major Prizes:

The prizes must be accepted by an individual or their nominated representative within 14 days. If the winner chooses not to accept the prize the winner will be redrawn.

Weekly Prizes:

The winner will have 7 days to collect the prizes from a Hume Bank branch. ABC/CBD staff will make reasonable attempts to contact the winner. If the winner is uncontactable or fails to collect the prizes within the specified time frame, a new winner will be randomly drawn.

9. Winners’ Consent for Promotion:

In the event they are a winner, entrants consent to ABC/CBD using their name and photographs in any media for an unlimited period of time for the purpose of promoting, publicising, or marketing this promotion and promoting any products and services by ABC/CBD.

10. Indemnity and Disclaimer:

To the extent permitted by law, entrants agree to release and indemnify ABC/CBD and its agents and employees from and against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury, damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.

ABC is not responsible or liable:

if for any reason beyond ABC/CBD’s reasonable control any element of any prize is not provided (and in that case, ABC/CBD, in its absolute discretion, may substitute a different prize in place of any prize referred to in these terms and conditions);

if, for any reason, the competition is suspended, varied or terminated at any time, with or without prior warning or publicity;

for late, lost or misdirected entries; or

for any change in the value of a prize occurring between the publishing date and the date the prize is claimed.

All entries become the property of ABC/CBD.

ABC/CBD has the right to exclude any person from this competition for any reason whatsoever and to amend these terms and conditions at any time or cancel the competition, subject to state regulation.

11. Data Privacy:

All personal information collected during this competition will be handled in accordance with the AlburyCity and Albury Business Connect privacy policies, available at AlburyCity privacy policy: https://www.alburycity.nsw.gov.au/privacy and Albury Business Connect privacy policy: https://alburybusinessconnect.com.au/privacy-policy/. By entering this competition, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in those policies.

12. Website Availability:

The Promoter is not responsible for any technical malfunctions, system errors, or internet connectivity issues that may disrupt or prevent entry into the competition. The Promoter does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the competition website. The promoters are not responsible for the content of external websites linked to from the competition website.

13. Prize Substitution:

If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. The substituted prize will be determined at the Promoter’s sole discretion.

14. Disqualification:

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who: (a) provides false or misleading information; (b) tampers with the entry process; (c) breaches these terms and conditions; (d) engages in unfair or fraudulent activity; or (e) acts in a manner that disrupts the competition or harasses other participants. The Promoter’s decision regarding disqualification is final. The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of purchase or visit from any entrant to verify their entry. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification.

15. Changes to Terms and Conditions:

The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Shop-a-Local website ( https://shopalocal.com.au/) and will be effective immediately upon posting. It is the entrant’s responsibility to review these terms and conditions periodically for any updates.

16. Tax Implications:

Independent financial advice should be sought, as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting a prize. Winners are solely responsible for any applicable taxes.

17. Age Restrictions:

Entry is open to all residents of the AlburyCity LGA aged 18 years or over. Entrants under the age of 18 must have parental or legal guardian consent to enter and claim any prize.

18. Force Majeure:

The Promoter is not responsible for any delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, government regulations, or pandemics (force majeure). In the event of a force majeure, the Promoter may suspend, modify, or terminate the competition.

19. Legal Jurisdiction:

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from this competition will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. In the event of any dispute regarding the competition, the decision of the Promoter will be final and binding.
